The Mineral collection is inspired by a stroll through arid lands reminiscent of lunar or desert landscapes straight out of an abstract world. Through the minimalist and monochrome compositions, we find influences from the brutalist architecture movement.

Aleksandra Krakowiak, whose diminutive is “OLA”, is a Polish-originated visual artist working in Montreal, where she cultivates on a daily basis her taste for beauty inside her ivory tower.

First trained in Fine Arts, then in graphic design, visual composition is for her a second nature.

For her, the wallpaper itself is a canvas where her artistic expression can take shape through endless possibilities. Her own language, where collage and illustration offer atmospheres interwoven with unusual colours and details, reveals her attraction to absurd humour and codes of a secret game meant to overpass the frontiers between contemporary art and the art of cultivating an ideal domestic life.
